I blame her father!

In my opinion, I have two of the cutest children on the face of the planet. Bailey, I believe, is also one of the smartest. She never ceases to amaze and inspire me... Since her third birthday, she has revealed a whole new side of herself. She is hilarious and talkative and speaks her mind... constantly.... I thought I would document some of the crazy and hilarious things she has been saying lately. I don't want to forget these gems!!!
My parents took Bailey out for her birthday dinner. My mom was telling a story about a doctor she works with. The story included issues like "butt-hair" and old age... (Please don't ask...) Bailey, who had been silently enjoying her dinner until the phrase "butt-hair" was uttered, looked at my mom and said, "Grandma, please! I am trying to eat!!"

Brock and I were busily getting the girls ready for a run. Bailey looked at me and said "Mom, I've got one question for you. Are you ready to rock?"

I walked in on Bailey having an in depth conversation with the cat:
B- It's OK Raiden don't be scared. It won't hurt you. You are a dirty boy and you need a bath. You have dingle-berries on your butt."

We were driving home from running some errands. Bailey was looking out the window and noticed some flowers on the side of the road.
B- Mom, do you like flowers?
Me- Yes, I do. They are beautiful.
B- OK. Daddy will buy you some.
Me- He will?
B- Yes! Give me your phone. I'll call him.
(And, yes! She did call him!)
I was driving the other day and a guy cut me off and was dangerously close to ripping off the front end of my car. I called him a jerk. (Which for me is a proud moment...I could have said much worse...)
Bailey hears me and repeats what I've said:
B- Jerk!!
Me- Bailey! We don't say that word. I'm sorryfor saying it. Let's not say it again, OK?
B- OK, Mommy. I sorry. I meant stupid car.

It is in times like these, that I wonder how I am going to be able to outwit this child. Will I even be able to raise her right? I know one thing for sure... I need to start watching what I say in front of her...

Family Time

I don't really have any "post-worthy"news, so I'm just going to post some pictures we took over the weekend. Bailey LOVES horses and the Katy Mills Mall has a Carousel and Train! It is a new family favorite. Bug and Mommy.

Mo.

Love this one!

Morgan's dragon face. I think it is genetic....

My mom got the girls these awesome matching outfits... which I love!! Due to their adorable nature, I decided to attempt to get a cute picture of the girls... These are all of my failed attempts.

The dragon...

Pretty good! Especially with Bailey's potty as our backdrop... (I am so glad Gina is taking our family pictures in a few weeks!!)

Bailey came in the next morning wearing this lovely assemble and holding the camera. She told me I had to take a picture of her. She is so stinking cute!
So that's all we've been up to. I'll post if something exciting comes up!!

Bailey's Birthday Party!

The weekend before Bailey's birthday, we had a Spongebob Carnival!! The kids really enjoyed it and it gave me an opportunity to be as creative as I know how!! My pictures are WAY out of order... but this is not news to anyone... Face Painting.

Our vacation!

Because Brock has been busily earning his Masters Degree and in and out of surgery, our family hasn't gotten a lot of vacation time. Brock works really hard (and I get really tired) so when we had an opportunity to go to Utah for a visit, we took it! Mom and Dad wanted to run a half marathon in Park City, so Grandma and Grandpa decided to have a family reunion. We were able to make it up there and we are so glad we did! We had an awesome time! Here are some highlights of the trip! The view from Grandma's front porch.

We got to wake up to this every morning! Gorgeous!!

Bailey and Grandma! I got some awesome pics of Grandpa, too... but they are on my phone... Bugger.

As stated previously, we went up to Utah to cheer mom and dad on at the marathon! They did awesome!! Here is Morgan waiting for them at the finish.

Morgan's favorite cousin, Brandi!

The runners! Don't they look great! This was at mile 8 or so...

The crowd that gathered to cheer them on. We're a handsome group, I think...

Bailey and Erica. She LOVES her some Erica.

Bailey giving high fives. She was a big hit with the runners!

Bailey and Erica. These two make me happy!

Some of the crew at Grandma's house.

Brock and his best bud, George.

We (of course) went to the BYU bookstore, and we HAD to get this hat for Morgan when we saw it.

Morgan and Grandpa! She loves hats....

Bailey and Tae were inseparable again. This is one of the many times they played in the sprinklers.

Good times!
We had an amazing time and are so grateful we got to see everyone! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for letting us stay with you! The food was amazing and the company was even better! We miss you already!

Train!

Much like other parents, I'm sure... Brock and I don't get to spend as much time with our oldest child since "the baby" came. Bailey is one of the most wonderful things in our lives, so we tried to think of a way to let her know how much we love her and how much we miss spending that one on one time with her. We decided we would ask her what she wanted to do one day- and then do just that. When we woke up Saturday- she decided she wanted to go ride the train. And that is what we did!! The train.

Buggy anxiously awaiting. (It was hot, can you tell?)

I love being able to spend time with my little family. Brock has been really busy lately, so any time we get to spend together is a gift. Thank you Bailey for letting us come with you on the train. It was such a good idea! You bring such joy into our lives. I love you!!
