I have been avoiding this for some time now... The pain is still fresh and the memories full. Even as I sit here writing this, it is surreal. I lost my best friend and sister (in-law) on Thursday April 30, 2009. I am having a hard time knowing what to do without her here. I guess I am writing this so everyone who didn't know her- can have a glimpse of the woman she was...
Jodi was Bailey's bud. She was loved and adored by Bai. She was kind, giving, compassionate and beautiful! She was my partner in crime and teammate. Since we're both married to Shepard boys- we would call each other and giggle about the silly/obnoxious things they did, that we still don't quite understand... She gave her time, her energy, her life to serving others. She was always smiling and laughing. When Jodi walked into the house--the party started. Her family was her priority. She loved Marcus... they were the perfect match. She loved Ashley and Blake as her own. I am so grateful to know that I will see her again. I am so grateful that I know where she is, that she is safe, that she is happy and has found peace. I am so grateful that I had time with her. I hope she knows how much I love her and miss her. I too will miss you. You are Joy, and I will always be grateful for the Sister you are to Erin. It is not easy to give your sister to another, but with you it was easy. I knew Erin was safe with you, both emotionally and physically. You will be missed. We love you Jodi. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We miss you.

Erin we are all so sorry for your families loss. Erika said Jodi was really nice, and liked her a lot, and is sad to hear she is gone.
And from your beautiful blog, she must have been an amazing women.
Can we ask without being rude, what took her? Erika was very shocked and surpised to hear the news, and feels bad for Blake, tell him Erika says Sorry, and Hello.

I know that Chris talked to Brock, but I just wanted to let ya know that you guys are in our thoughts and prayers. It's times like these that you become very grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that we have. If you need anything please let us know.
I'm so sorry for the pain you must be feeling over the loss of such a special friend and family member. I know, for me, thinking about the loss it is to my kids is always the hardest part. It sounds like she was really special to Bai, as well as everyone who was lucky enough to know her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
