Our vacation!

Because Brock has been busily earning his Masters Degree and in and out of surgery, our family hasn't gotten a lot of vacation time. Brock works really hard (and I get really tired) so when we had an opportunity to go to Utah for a visit, we took it! Mom and Dad wanted to run a half marathon in Park City, so Grandma and Grandpa decided to have a family reunion. We were able to make it up there and we are so glad we did! We had an awesome time! Here are some highlights of the trip! The view from Grandma's front porch.

We got to wake up to this every morning! Gorgeous!!

Bailey and Grandma! I got some awesome pics of Grandpa, too... but they are on my phone... Bugger.

As stated previously, we went up to Utah to cheer mom and dad on at the marathon! They did awesome!! Here is Morgan waiting for them at the finish.

Morgan's favorite cousin, Brandi!

The runners! Don't they look great! This was at mile 8 or so...

The crowd that gathered to cheer them on. We're a handsome group, I think...

Bailey and Erica. She LOVES her some Erica.

Bailey giving high fives. She was a big hit with the runners!

Bailey and Erica. These two make me happy!

Some of the crew at Grandma's house.

Brock and his best bud, George.

We (of course) went to the BYU bookstore, and we HAD to get this hat for Morgan when we saw it.

Morgan and Grandpa! She loves hats....

Bailey and Tae were inseparable again. This is one of the many times they played in the sprinklers.

Good times!
We had an amazing time and are so grateful we got to see everyone! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for letting us stay with you! The food was amazing and the company was even better! We miss you already!

Train!

Much like other parents, I'm sure... Brock and I don't get to spend as much time with our oldest child since "the baby" came. Bailey is one of the most wonderful things in our lives, so we tried to think of a way to let her know how much we love her and how much we miss spending that one on one time with her. We decided we would ask her what she wanted to do one day- and then do just that. When we woke up Saturday- she decided she wanted to go ride the train. And that is what we did!! The train.

Buggy anxiously awaiting. (It was hot, can you tell?)

The girls and I.

I love being able to spend time with my little family. Brock has been really busy lately, so any time we get to spend together is a gift. Thank you Bailey for letting us come with you on the train. It was such a good idea! You bring such joy into our lives. I love you!!

Shepard Update

We have been busy around here these days! I don't have a lot of time, but I thought I would share some of the highlights. (And as per usual, they are in no particular order....)
Our awesome cousin Elise is here with us. She is starting an internship at the prestigious Sugar Land Cancer Center. Congrats on your internship, Elise! We are glad you're here!!!

Morgan is crawling!! EVERYWHERE!! She isn't even 7 months yet! Time is flying by!!

Bailey is still my little bud. This is how she watches Sesame Street in the morning. Naked, with attitude.

We've been swimming at Grandma's and in our backyard a lot. I had to get one of Morgan in her awesome froggy cover up. Bailey is still refusing to take pictures. I'm sure you noticed the lack of pics of her...

Morgan has a definite personality, now. Fortunately for us, she's like this a lot of the time....

Can you tell what she's thinking? It's pretty evident, right?

We started feeding Mogee baby food!

She likes it so far!
Sorry for the lack of pics of Bai. She is a wild child and has her preferences.... I will hold her down and get some more.
Shepards, out!

Happy Father's Day!

I know... this post is ridiculously late.... I have been busy....
For Father's Day this year, I decided I needed to do something really special for Brock. He is an amazing father and husband and has really been running himself ragged lately. He is working 40+ hours a week, getting his Masters Degree, (which adds another 20+ hours a week to his already busy schedule) and then still coming home and playing with the girls and I. I know how blessed I am to have him in my life, so I wanted to give him a gift that told him how awesome and appreciated he was. After much thought, I decided a weekend away was the perfect gift! I surprised him with a weekend stay at The Hotel Contessa in San Antonio! It was awesome!! Brock and I. He looks squished...

One of the lucky girls who gets to call him daddy....

The other lucky little girl.

Our room...

The living room area when you walked in.

Another angle...
Our room was big and beautiful and right off the Riverwalk. We had an amazing time. We got to eat dinner on the Riverwalk, go shopping, watch movies, and most importantly- spend time together! It was an awesome weekend and we enjoyed every second of it. Thanks mom and dad for watching the girls! Brock, I love you and know how lucky and blessed I am to have you in my life. Happy Fathers Day babe!

Utah Trip Part 2

Because I always load my pictures backwards... you will have to bear with me.... and I will have to start with our last night and our stay in Vegas...On the last night of our vacation, we stayed at the Trump hotel. It was beautiful! Here are a couple shots of our room. It was very "posh," and very clean! The Trump Hotel has no Casinos, so it didn't smell like smoke and it was surprisingly quiet. Very nice! I would love to stay there again! Our room had a microwave, sink, and fridge... Everything I needed to keep up with the bottles, etc...

The bathroom. Yes, that is a television...

View of Vegas from our room. No, you can't see the view... This is just evidence of my failed attempt.

They had a tic-tac-toe board as decoration. As you can see....Bailey liked to use them as spectacles....
Before we went to our hotel, we shopped at the outlets in Vegas. While we did some damage on our Visas, Bailey damaged some pedestrians....

The highlight of the trip was seeing Grandma and Grandpa Coombs! Morgan really bonded with the two of them!!

Thank you for the amazing waffles and good times, Grandpa! We love you so much and can't wait to see you again!! We miss you!!

Bailey loved his chair. And those dang jammies. She wore them everyday...everywhere. And, yes, it was hot!!!
We had an amazing trip! Thanks to everyone for their hospitality. We are so lucky to have the grandparents that we do. I love you guys! We will see you soon!!

Our trip! (Part One)

Our trip was a success! The girls were amazingly well behaved, slept well and really enjoyed their cousins, aunts and uncles and great-grandparents. I am so grateful to my mom for all her help! I would not have been able to do it without her!! We left early Tuesday morning... Got a cute shot of Bailey before we woke her up. She was excited about flying on the "err-plane."
This is Bailey on the flight. (Special thanks to Grandpa Shepard for the DVD player.) She LOVED being "high in the sky."

This was what she did the majority of the flight.

Spending some time at the Scovill's. Bailey had a great time with her cousins there. It was so good to visit with everyone.

This is Bai and her best bud Tae. They were inseparable.

Cute kiddos.
I am off to run a few more errands... I have been busy ever since I got home. I want to thank Grandma and Grandpa Scovill for the bed and good food and good times! We love you guys and can't wait to see you in August!!
Coming soon: Our trip to see Grandpa Coombs and our overnighter in Vegas.

Going Away...

For the first time, the girls and I are going on vacation sans Daddy. I will readily admit that I am terrified. We are flying into Vegas and then driving to Hurricane to see our Grandpa and Grandma Coombs, and then driving to Santaquin to see Grandma and Grandpa Scovill. I am ridiculously excited to see everyone, and terrified for all the driving. The ONLY reason I am going through with it, is because my AWESOME Mama Joe is coming!!! You guys know me... I am not even close to brave enough to do it on my own! So here we come, Vegas! Morgan is excited. It is her first time traveling!

Bailey is pumped too.

We are leaving tomorrow and will be back on the 23rd. We're so excited to see everyone!! We'll be there soon!
